France’s Veolia has been awarded a contract to design and build a wastewater treatment plant at the Monastir Technopole park, 170km from the Tunisian capital of Tunis.
The plant will have a treatment capacity of 6,000 cubic metres a day (cm/d), and will be delivered by Veolia’s subsidiary OTV in partnership with Austria’s GIS Aqua Austria and the local Bouzguenda Freres Batiments et Travaux Publics.
Construction of the plant will take 32 months to complete.
