Suppliers have until 11 July to respond

The Government of Yemen has invited bids for the procurement of 2,000 hectares of conveyance pipes to serve Amran and Dhamar in the west of the country.

The project will benefit from a grant from funds allocated for the National Irrigation Program under the Water Sector Support Program (WSSP).

The World Bank’s International Development Association and the governments of the Netherlands and Germany are backing both overarching programmes.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s guidelines.

The country’s Office for irrigation and Land Reclamation Sector has said that it will give a certain level of preference to local suppliers.

Interested parties have until 11 July to respond to the invitation.
