Riyadh says Doha has been supporting terrorism in Yemen
The Saudi Arabia-led military coalition that has been undertaking military operations in Yemen since March 2015 has terminated the participation of Qatar, according to a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.
The leadership of the Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen has decided to end the participation of the state of Qatar in the coalition because of its practices that promote terrorism and its support in Yemen [for groups] including Al-Qaeda and Daad, and its dealings with the coup militias in Yemen, the statement said.
The announcement follows a decision by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain to sever diplomatic links with Qatar amid growing tensions in the Gulf.
