The first four aircraft will be delivered in 2011
Yemen’s national carrier Yemenia has confirmed a $700m deal to buy 10 Airbus A320 aircraft.
The new aircraft will replace Yemenia’s existing fleet of single-aisle and wide-body aircraft and will expand the airline’s regional services to the GCC, Middle East, Africa, India and destinations in southern Europe.
Yemenia will take delivery of four A320 planes in 2011, two planes in 2012 and the remaining four aircraft in 2013.
The carrier has also ordered 10 A350 aircraft for delivery between 2015 and 2017.
