Third quarter loss down to $145
Zain Saudi Arabia has cut down its net loss in the third quarter to SR544m ($145.1m), compared with SR820m in the same quarter a year ago, due to growing customer base. Revenue for the period surged by 101 per cent to SR1.662bn compared to SR825m for the third quarter of 2009. “This quarter, we have focused on our current customer base, preferring a period of customer retention which has improved our revenue and profitability, whilst reducing our costs,” CEO Saad Al Barak said in a statement.
