03 October 2016

All five packages are due for completion by the end of 2019

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) says that work has started on packages 3 and 4 of the new infrastructure that it plans to complete in Madinat Zayed in Abu Dhabi’s Western Region.

The AED2.4bn ($654m) of new infrastructure consists of five packages including roads and infrastructure works. All packages are scheduled for completion by the end of 2019.

Musanada said it had awarded five construction contracts in Madinat Zayed in August as part of 15 construction and infrastructure contract awards totalling AED4bn.

Local firm Saif Bin Darwish was appointed for AED979.8m of road and infrastructure work serving a housing scheme in the area. The company was also awarded two packages worth AED108.9m and AED89.7m for similar work within other areas of Madinat Zayed.

A contract for AED738m of infrastructure work for another residential area in Madinat Zayed was awarded to Kuwait’s Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons Company.

The local Nael & Bin Harmal Hydroexport Establishment will also execute an AED518.6m project to set up roads and infrastructure in the same area.
