Position: Executive president at Yanbu, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu
Biography: Alaa Nassif is the executive President for the Royal Commission at Yanbu, responsible for overall supervision of the Yanbu Industrial City management in order to execute the Royal Commissions vision and mission. Holding a PhD from the University of Salford, Manchester, MS from Miami University and Bachelor degree from King Abdulaziz University, Nassif has participated in a number of design and development programmes, including a 17,000m2 computer and telecommunications centre, an 18,000m2 engineering affairs building in Jeddah and a petroleum services station project in three standard sizes in collaboration with the British Consulting Firm at SR100m.
Before joining the Royal Commission he worked as deputy dean for quality and development and assistant professor at the Architecture College of Environmental Design at the Ministry of Higher Education, King Abdulaziz University. Nassif also joined the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs of Jeddah Municipality in the capacity of general manager for studies and project supervision, urban planning, adviser to His Excellency the mayor of Jeddah, supervising corniche development projects.
