Arcadis appoints new regional CEO

The company’s global design director has been appointed as the new Middle East chief executive

Dutch-based consultancy firm Arcadis has announced the appointment of Graham Reid as the company’s new Middle East chief executive officer.

Reid replaces Wael Allan, who served as Middle East CEO and left the firm at the end of January.

Reid previously served as the Hyder UK managing director. During this time he was involved in winning projects such as work on the Doha Metro programme, road and drainage works in Doha and a gas turbine power plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

In September 2015 Arcadis unveiled a new global brand identity, which saw the company phase out legacy brands Hyder Consulting and EC Harris.

The move follows two years of bringing 28,000 people from different businesses together into a single entity. The two most active brands in the Middle East have been cost and project management consultancy EC Harris and engineering firm Hyder Consulting.
