
Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has awarded five contracts totalling QR207m ($56m) for the construction of schools in the Doha area.
The local Imperial Trading & Contracting Company has won three contracts each worth QR42m.
The first is for the construction of a secondary school for girls in the Maamoura district.
The second is for a secondary school for girls at Al-Emir. The third is worth QR42m and is for a Modern School at Al-Saliliyah.
Ashghal awarded the two other contracts to Al-Aali international and Inshaa Contracting & Trading.
Al-Aali will build a QR41m secondary school for girls at New Salata, and Inshaa will build a modern school worth QR40m at Najma.
