Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has said the sandstorm that hit the country has forced the cancellation of six flights to and from Kuwait International Airport (KIA), changing the destination of another flight and rescheduling ten others, Kuna has reported. "The wind speed yesterday and early today reached 68 km/h while the visibility dropped to about 230 meters, thus forcing the DGCA to enforce the precautionary measures last night," director of DGCA's operations room, Esam Al-Zamel told the news service.
