
The Iraqi Investment Authority has launched two residential construction projects in the northern city of Duhuk, estimated to cost $40m in total.
The authority has begun searching for a local construction group to build the two projects. The body expects to appoint a contractor early in 2009.
The first project will see 449 houses built, while the second scheme will involve the construction of 450 apartments. Each project is expected to cost close to $20m.
