Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani

Biography: Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani has been chairman and CEO of RAK Petroleum since April 2008. He serves in the same positions at Norway’s DNO International, which holds assets in the Middle East and North Africa region. Mossavar-Rahmani is also chairman of the board of directors at Foxtrot International, a French/US oil and gas company active in West Africa, and was the founder and CEO of Houston-based Apache International.

He has served as a member of the advisory board of Eurasia Group, a global political risk research and consulting firm based in New York. In addition to industry positions, Mossavar-Rahmani sits on the visiting committee of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in the US, and on the board of trustees of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

He is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard University, both in the US.
