CCC bids low for Kuwait road project

A total of seven companies submitted bids for Kuwait road project tender

Athens-based Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) has submitted the low bid for a road contract in Kuwait.

The scope of work calls for design, construction, completion and maintenance of temporary return openings at Nuwaiseeb Highway.

CCC submitted the low bid of KD12.9m ($45.6m), followed by local Mushrif Trading & Contracting Company (KD13.4m), and Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction (KD13.9m).

A total of seven companies submitted prices for the contract. Thirteen contractors were prequalified to bid for the tender.

Earlier in December, local developer Emaar Properties awarded CCC the estimated AED700m ($191m) contract to build the Dubai Modern Art Museum and Opera House District. The 2,000-seat venue will be built in Emaar’s Downtown Dubai development. In addition to the opera house, the local develop plans to build new hotels, studios and leisure facilities in the area. The consultant is the UK-based Atkins.
