Abu Dhabi-based firm to offer services to oil, gas and petrochemicals sectors
Japanese contractor Chiyoda Corporation has formed a joint venture with Athens-based Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) to target the Middle East oil and gas projects market.
The new entity, named Chiyoda CCC Engineering Limited (CCEL), has based its regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The deal combines Chiyoda’s energy technologies and engineering and procurement capabilities with CCC’s strong construction arm and extensive presence in the region, the companies said in a joint announcement.
CCEL will be offering full engineering and project lifecycle services in the energy, oil, gas, petrochemicals and utilities markets.
Tokyo-based Chiyoda has notably been involved in the construction of Qatar’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities over the past decade.
