Project has a target completion date of June 2018
The UKs Kings College Hospital is seeking contractors to build a hospital in Dubai.
Dubai Hills
The proposed hospital will be built at Emaar Properties Dubai Hills development. It will have 88 inpatient beds, outpatient clinics, ambulatory care centres, and an emergency room. The target completion date is June 2018.
The enabling works are being carried out as a separate package. The project manager is the UKs Faithful+Gould.
Construction activity at Dubai Hills is expected to accelerate in 2017. Emaar is expected to start construction on a new mall at the development next year, after it received expressions of interest from contractors in late August.
Contractors are already working on the scheme. The local Engineering Contracting Company (ECC) is working on the Mulberry Heights residential buildings, and the local Al-Basti Muktha is building villas at the development.
The Dubai Hills development covers an area of 11 million square metres and includes gated villa communities, a commercial centre and high-end retail centres, as well as low-rise and mid-rise residences, hotels and serviced hotel apartments.
