Contractors have been invited to bid for the contract to build the Mediclinic Park View Hospital in Dubai.

The closing date for technical offers is 28 April. The deadline for commercial bids is 26 May.

The hospital, which will be built in the Al-Barsha area between Al-Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road, will have about 150 beds and six operating theatres. The total built-up area is about 38,000 square metres. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2018,

The design consultant is US-based Stantec International. The cost consultant is South Africa’s Norval Wentzel Steinberg.

Mediclinic says the hospital will be similar to its Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC).

A joint venture of the local Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading Company and Greece’s Aktor was awarded the main construction contract on the City Hospital project in 2006.
