Deepak Kohli

Biography: With more than 28 years of experience in the financial sector and 20 years in the Middle East, Deepak Kohli has worked on a raft of transactions across the region.
Most recently, these include working with the UAE’s Emaar Properties on its $450m convertible bond issue, Qatar National Bank and its $1.5bn bond issue, and the government of Dubai’s $1.25bn dual tranche bond issue.
In his current role at Standard Chartered, he has worked on deals that cover conventional bond issues, syndicated loans, structured private placements, asset backed securities and convertible bond deals.
Previously, Kohli has worked for the US’ GE, UK firms PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young, before joining National Bank of Abu Dhabi. In addition to working on bond and loan transactions, he also worked on several initial public offerings in the Middle East.
