

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has invited companies to bid by 12 July for the contract to reclaim a series of offshore islands for the development of its Hail and Ghasha sour gas fields.
The companies that have prequalified to bid for the contract that involves dredging and rockwork are:
- Archirodon (Greece)
- Dredging International (Belgium)
- Hyundai Engineering & Construction (South Korea)
- Jan De Nul (Belgium)
- National Marine Dredging Company (local)
- Royal Boskalis Westminster (Netherlands)
- Six Construct Abu Dhabi (local/Belgium)
- Van Oord (Netherlands)
The consultant for the marine works is France’s Artelia.
US-based Bechtel was awarded the front-end engineering and design (feed) contract for the Hail and Ghasha fields earlier this year.
The Hail and Ghasha project is one of Adnoc’s largest sour gas fields developments and is forecast to produce about 1 billion cubic feet of sour gas a day.
