The UAEs Federal Electricity and Water authority (Fewa) has invited firms to bid for the contract to provide consultancy services on a 15 million-gallon-a-day (g/d) desalination plant in the emirate of Ajman.
Consultants have until 2 September to submit bids for the contract for the seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plant, which will be located at Al-Zawra in Ajman. The contract will involve reviewing and updating the technical and commercial evaluation of existing tender, contract administration, design review and project management of the project.
In September 2010, Fewa awarded a contract to Spains Cadagua and local partner Essa Engineering, to build a 10 million g/d reverse osmosis plant at Al-Zawra. In 2009, Austrias Aqua Engineering won the contract to build a 7 million g/d desalination plant at the site.
