US firm will manage the construction of four towers on Pearl development
The US-based Hill International has been awarded a QR7.3m ($2m) contract to provide project management services on the Porto Arabia Towers real estate project in Doha.
The Land Investment & Real Estate Development Company, the client on the scheme, awarded Hill the one-year contract on 30 May. Hill will manage the construction of four of the ten towers that will be built as part of the Porto Arabia development. Each 20-storey tower has a total built-up area of about 33,000 square metres.
The Porto Arabia Towers are located on the Pearl Qatar, an artificial island which covers a total area of 4 million sq m. The mixed-use development will contain residential and commercial facilities.
Hill International has provided project management services on a number of real estate schemes in Qatar in recent years. In 2009, the US firm was awarded a project management deal for the $400m Qatar Silhouette tower, a 59-story tower with 365 hotel rooms and 180 serviced apartments.
