Biography Hussain Damirji has extensive international experience in advising clients on legal affairs, including banking and securities law, employment law, litigation, and oil and gas law.
Currently based at Patton Boggs’ Doha office, Damirji has worked as a counsel to law firms in Iraq, Jordan, the UK, Turkey, and the US. He was also the founder and managing partner of the New Iraq Law Firm in Baghdad, which he established in 2004. Under his leadership, the firm represented a number of high-profile clients, and earned recognition for both its business work and its pro-bono capabilities.
Damirji graduated from the UK’s Oxford University in 1989 and the Harvard Law School in the US in 1992. He is a member of the Bar Association of Columbia District, New York, the Law Society of England & Wales, and the Iraqi Bar Association.
