Latest contract covers construction work on the northern regional road
Kuwaits Ministry of Public Works (MPW) has invited firms to bid for a contract to build and maintain a major section of the northern regional road, which extends from crossroads 58 to 82.
The tender closing date is 24 April.
Some 48 groups comprising international contractors and their local partners are qualified to submit prices for the deal.
Another tender was issued earlier for the northern road. It covers the construction, completion and maintenance of the road segment extending from Crossroad 82 to the Salmi border. The deadline for submission of offers for this tender is 3 April.
MPW has floated a similar tender for the southern regional road, which extends from North Kabd to Al-Salmi, with the closing date also set for 3 April.
Multiple road schemes are currently being tendered in the country in line with the governments programme to address the growing traffic congestion problems, as well as develop and rehabilitate major roads to facilitate increased passenger and trade movement by land.
