The local Al-Qandeel Contracting has won the AED236m ($64m) contract to build villas in Dubai for local property developer Damac.
The main construction contract involves building 515 three-bedroom townhouses for the Camelia cluster at the Damac Hills 2 development.
Damac has awarded a series of construction contracts across its developments in Dubai this year. In May, it appointed Delta al-Emarate Building Contracting as the main contractor for two clusters, Nice N2 and Nice N3, at its Damac Lagoons development in Dubailand.
In January, Beijing-based China State Construction Engineering Corporation was awarded the estimated AED955m main construction contract for Damac’s Cavalli Casa ultra-luxury tower in the Al-Sufouh area between Dubai Media City and Dubai Marina.
