Malaysia’s Eversendai has been awarded two contracts totalling $69m for construction work in Dubai.
The deals cover structure steel works on two tower projects. The first is the One Zabeel development in the World Trade Centre area, and the second is the Il Primo Address tower in the Downtown Burj Khalifa district.
For the One Zabeel towers, Eversendai has been contracted by the local Alec, which secured the estimated $950m main construction contract in mid-2017 from the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD).
The towers have been designed as a new landmark for Dubai and involves the construction of two high-rise towers connected by a sky bridge that Eversendai will work on.
For Il Primo, Eversendai is working for Turkey’s TAV, which won the contract to build the towers in late last year.
Involves the construction of a residential buildings in the Opera District next to the Dubai Opera House. One tower will be 356 metres high with 88 storeys, the other will be 300 metres tall with 71 storeys.
