Developer planning $816m hospitality programme
Local developer Nakheel has completed the construction of its hotel project at Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai.
The 372-room hotel, which will be managed by UK-based Premier Inn Hotels, opened on 9 October and is part of the developers $816m hospitality expansion programme.
The projects main contractor was the local United Engineering Construction, while the Dubai-based Archgroup International served as the main consultant on the $60m scheme.
In July this year, Nakheel said in a press statement that it plans to develop 10 hotels at various locations in Dubai, including Palm Jumeirah, Deira Islands, Ibn Battuta Mall and Dragon City.
During this years Cityscape Global in Dubai, Nakheel launched a luxury residential project near Ibn Battuta Mall.
The company is planning on developing a twin-tower project comprising 531 apartments. The two 48-storey towers are expected to be completed by the final quarter of 2019.
Ibn Battuta Residences is Nakheels second project to be launched at Cityscape Dubai. The developer also unveiled plans for Palm 360 on Palm Jumeirah, another twin-tower hotel and residential scheme.
Nakheels other developments on the Palm Jumeirah include the 52-storey Palm Tower hotel and residential complex, Nakheel Mall, The Pointe, The Boardwalk and Palm Boulevard.
