Developer planning three-star hotel next to Ibn Battuta Mall
Dubai developer Nakheel has invited contractors to submit bids for a hotel development by 13 November.
Nakheel is planning a three-star hotel next to Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai. The project, which will involve a 15-storey building with 375 rooms, is set to be built in front of the Ibn Battuta metro station and will have a built-up area of 26,100 square metres.
In October, Nakheel completed the construction of another hotel scheme at Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai.
The 372-room hotel, which is managed by UK-based Premier Inn Hotels, opened on 9 October and is part of the developers $816m hospitality expansion programme.
The projects main contractor was the local United Engineering Construction, while the Dubai-based Archgroup International served as the main consultant on the $60m scheme.
In July this year, Nakheel said in a press statement that it plans to develop 10 hotels at various locations in Dubai, including Palm Jumeirah, Deira Islands, Ibn Battuta Mall and Dragon City.
