
Winning firm will supervise construction and upgrade works on Batinah Highway
Oman’s Transport and Communication Ministry has invited companies to submit bids by 7 February for a consultancy contract for road upgrading works on the existing Batinah Highway.
The winning firm will design and supervise the construction of new junctions and upgrading of existing junctions on the highway, located in the northeast of Oman.
The ministry also recently invited companies to submit bids by 7 Febraury for the contract to provide consultancy services on the Nizwa to Thumrait road project. The winning firm will design and supervise the project to turn the Adam to Thumrait section of the Nizwa to Thumrait road into a dual carriageway.
The projects are part of large-scale plans to upgrade and expand road infrastructure throughout the sultanate.
The work involves constructing a dual carriageway between Jabrin and Ibri. It is the second stage of the ministry’s project to convert the single carriageway from Nizwa to Ibri into a dual carriageway (MEED 10:9:10).
