Overview
The Moroccan government wants to develop six tourist zones as part of its Plan Azur.
The Taghazout resort will be developed by Palais des Roses International at Taghazout, which is 15km from Agadir. A mixed-use residential and tourist project, it will cover an area of 1,200 hectares and have 6km of waterfront.
As part of the development, the government will also upgrade basic services such as water supply and wastewater collection and treatment systems in several near-by villages. Wastewater from these villages will be recycled and used for irrigation in the Taghazout Resort.
