Contractors now have until 17 July to submit prices

Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has extended the bid deadline for the contract to build a commercial centre in Doha.

Contractors now have until 17 July to submit bids for the construction package. The previous submission date was 3 July. The commercial building will contain two basement floors, ground floor with arcade and two floors with a total built-up area of 62,265 square metres. The contract will also include the required electromechanical works.

Ashghal recently received bids for another building project. On 19 June, contractors submitted prices for the contract to build a general cleaning complex at Mesaimeer, on the outskirts of Doha.

The general cleaning project will cover a total area of 90,000 sq m and will contain integrated facilities for government cleaning equipment and accommodation for employees. The project will contain a refuse equipment area, six diesel stations, including fuel distribution systems, 11 truck and bus parking sheds and a store room for tools and spares. In addition to the cleaning facilities, the complex will contain residences and related amenities.
