Saeed Ahmed Saeed
Company: Limitless
Position: CEO
Biography: Saeed Ahmed Saeed started his career at state-owned Dubai Ports, Customs and Freezone Corporation before moving to local developer Nakheel in 2000 to become managing director of projects. When Limitless was formed in 2005, Saeed took the helm.
He has been involved in talks to restructure $1.2bn of debt that was to mature in early 2011, negotiating a seventh debt extension that will last until April 2012. That debt was originally due in March 2010, but bankers have given the firm several extensions. Limitless was originally involved in Dubai World’s $25bn restructuring in 2009, but later decided to conduct its own negotiations with banks.
In July 2011, the government announced that Limitless and Nakheel, formerly subsidiaries of Dubai World, would become directly owned by the government. Limitless was originally intended to be a foreign development arm of Dubai World.
