Position: Director of localisation and clusters, new business development
Biography: Sami al-Mukhaizeem is responsible for developing industrial clusters around Saudi Aramco’s major petrochemicals facilities in Jubail and across the rest of the kingdom. The goal of his unit is to encourage smaller conversion firms to relocate to the kingdom and use the output for major downstream schemes.
Al-Mukhaizeem joined Aramco in 1982 and worked in the contracting department, gaining experience in several procurement units, while handling claims for maintenance and project contracts.
He then transferred to the Sadara Chemical Company project and spent four years developing the scheme before assuming his current role. Al-Mukhaizeem graduated in 1980 with a degree in industrial management from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
