Adnoc Distribution plans 131 self-service petrol stations with vapour recovery systems
Tebodin has been awarded a deal to design a project to convert UAE petrol stations into Smart Service Stations and implement vapour recovery systems, according to a source familiar with the project.
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) Distribution plans to upgrade 131 service stations in the UAE to allow self-service of fuel by a number plate recgonition system.
Through the system, fuel will be automatically dispensed and charged to the users account. This will integrate technologies such as radio frequency identification based authorisation and payment, near field communication readiness, as well as mobile and B2B/ B2C e-commerce platforms.
The fuel dispensers will be replaced to include vapour recovery systems.
Tebodin, a company of the international engineering and services group Bilfinger SE, has been awarded several design contracts in the UAE this year.
