Overview
Torbat Steel Complex will be a 1.5 million tonnes a year (t/y) direct reduction iron (DRI) plant near Torbat Heydariyeh city. The project will cover an area of 400 hectares. The project’s infrastructure has been designed so that capacity can be doubled to 3 million t/y at minimal cost and disruption.
Work includes:
- 170 tonne electric arc furnace
- 170 tonne ladle furnace
- Slab caster
- Charge feed system
- Heat exchange system
- Reformer
- Ejector stack
- Allied utilities
