The UK firm will cost-manage the construction of concourse D at Dubai International airport
The UK-based construction consultancy Turner & Townsend has won the contract to cost-manage the construction of concourse D at Dubai International airport.
Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects Corporation awarded the contract to the consultancy.
The local Alec is the management contractor for the new concourse 4. The local firm won the award in February and has already worked on concourse 3 at the airport.
The concourse is being built to the west of the existing concourse 1 near to the cargo terminal and will be connected to Terminal 1 by an elevated bus road. The site area covers about 675,000 square metres and the total built-up area is expected to be about 150,000 sq m.
Lebanon’s Dar al-Handasah prepared the initial design and tender documents for the contract.
