Biography: Aziz Syriani joined Olayan Group in 1978. He has been CEO since 2002 and previously served in positions including chief operating officer and president. Olayan Group is a diversified conglomerate with interests in the food and drink industry.
It produces Coca-Cola at a bottling plant in Riyadh as well as making a variety of snacks for US food giant Kraft at a factory in Dammam in the Eastern Province. Prior to joining the Olayan Group, Syriani worked for American Express and US-headquartered law firm Shearman and Sterling. He has also been director at companies including Swiss bank Credit Suisse and US oil company Occidental Petroleum.
Syriani has a degree in law from the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut and a master’s degree in law from Harvard University in the US.
