

Abu Dhabi-based developer Aldar Properties is expected to tender the contract for the Abu Dhabi Media Free Zone headquarters in Yas Island before end of 2018.
According to a source familiar with the scheme, the client could issue the tender as early as October.
MEED understands Abu Dhabi’s Twofour54 will operate the planned media free zone.
According to MEED Projects data, the project will be developed in phases over an area of 95,000 square metres (sq m) expandable to 300,000 sq m.
The scope covers the construction of a free zone featuring offices, television studios as well as retail units.
US-based Aecom is the design consultant for the project.
