Ilian Mihov
Position: Dean, Insead
Biography: Ilian Mihov, a professor of economics and Novartis-chaired professor of management and environment, was appointed interim dean of France-based Insead in March 2013. He was made dean in October 2013. He had been deputy dean for faculty and research since 2011, responsible for recruiting staff as well as overseeing the development of more than 140 professors, the business schools doctorate programme, and the research and development committee.
Mihov joined Inseads economics department in 1996 and has taught macroeconomics and econometrics to students studying for MBAs, EMBAs, PhDs and executive education programmes, as well as to the Global Leadership Fellows Programme of the World Economic Forum.
He holds a doctorate from Princeton University and an undergraduate degree in business administration from the Moore School of Business at the University of California, both in the US.
