
The contract covers the construction of an international maritime college.
Nine firms were originally prequalified, of which seven submitted bids. Al-Qasim was the low bidder with OR13m ($35m), followed by Al-Adrak Trading & Contracting Company with OR15m. Third was Abu Hatim Company with a bid of OR16m.
The client is the Ministry of Manpower.
Al-Qasim also recently submitted a bid for construction of a Ministry of Justice building in Sohar (MEED 02:06:08).
